Introducing the Alpha Performance CLA 45 AMG Titanium Strut Tower Brace. Adding the Alpha Titanium STB to your CLA 45’s engine bay helps disperse the shock of energy from bumps, pot holes, and most importantly track session cornering loads. By connecting the tops of your struts together the Alpha CLA 45 Titanium STB distributes energy and avoids deformation of the front strut towers.
Avoiding deflection of the strut towers during operation makes sure that your tires are maintaining the greatest amount of tire contact to the road. This in turn leads to better cornering, braking, acceleration, and stiffening of the chassis leads to better steering response. The Strength and Lightness of Titanium
Alpha Performance uses only the best materials in the production of our parts. Titanium’s excellent strength to density ratio means there is little weight penalty with all of the added stiffness. Titanium is also highly corrosion resistant. The billet titanium bar inserts are hollowed to reduce weight and allow for a more consistent weld to the 1.5″ titanium tube.You can be assured that the titanium bar and inserts will add great aesthetics to your CLA’s engine bay.
The Difference Is In The Details
The Alpha Performance Titanium CLA 45 AMG Strut Tower Brace mounts are constructed from light and strong 6061 T-6 aluminum. Alpha Engineers took the weight savings a step further and used Solidworks© CAD software in the design process to remove as much material as possible while still maintaining the highest strength possible. Alpha’s titanium inserts are clamped in a double shear configuration which eliminates pivoting that is present in our competition’s inferior designs.
The strut tower mounts are carved from billet 6061 T-6 aluminum and are pocketed to reduce weight while maintaining strength. The aluminum mounts and titanium inserts are slotted to allow for full OEM camber and caster adjustability. The billet titanium inserts are hollowed to reduce weight and allow for a more consistent weld to the 1.5″ titanium tube. The 1.5″ titanium tube maximizes under hood space and provides higher resistance to bending from induced chassis loads compared to smaller diameter tubes. Titanium inserts are clamped securely in double shear with two M10 bolts eliminating pivot hinge points that are present in single bolt designs.
